This inclusive service is planned for people of all abilities. We gather to praise and worship our God, listen to what He says to us through His word, share each other's joys and sorrows and bow our heads together in prayer. We support our members in their knowledge and understanding of Jesus Christ and are committed to teaching faithfully and living out the Word of God in a manner that people of all abilities and walks of life will understand.
Friendship Group Thursday Evenings 7:00 pm 240 Powers St.
Friendship Group is a bible study fellowship geared towards individuals with disabilities. We maintain a monthly cycle that includes Bible lessons, social activities, service projects and a meal. Every year we pick a theme to build and plan around. The theme for the 2009/2010 is "We All Have Gifts". In order to discover where our gifts are we are actively participating in a variety of service projects. Friendship evenings are lively and fun. Hand Chimes Tuesday Evenings 7:00pm 240 Powers
Hand Chimes is a time for individuals with disabilities to explore music. We see music as one of the many ways we glorify God and encourage the development of musical gifts as a means of faith expression. Hand Chimes helps develop confidence and provides fellowship opportunities. Our group performs several times a year at various locations. Fellowship Groups
Fellowship is important. We currently have two Fellowship Groups. One group is a group of integrated seniors who meet on a monthly basis. Another group is a group that meets bi-monthly at Deer Lodge Centre. Both groups strive to develop a close knit community made up of people who care for each other, encourage one another, build each other up in the faith, and enjoy each other's company. We provide this atmosphere through a variety of experiences which include outings, videos, speakers and discussions.
